One day at a time – will you take the 365 Day Challenge?
Every day of research at Children's Brain Tumour Research Centre (CBTRC) and centres like it brings us one step closer to progressing brain tumour research in the UK to a point where we can make a clinical difference.
We need £1,500 to fund a day’s research at the CBTRC. Our challenge is to find 365 supporters each willing to support a day of research to give us an entire year of funding ─ a year which could make all the difference.
If 365 people each raise £1,500 we would achieve our research target for 2013
If you’re one of the special individuals or groups willing to take the 365 Day Challenge then please let us know immediately. We’ll help you in any way we can.
- 450 children are diagnosed with a brain tumour every year
- Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of UK children
- Brain tumours account for 6 per cent of all cancers yet receive less than 1 per cent of the UK’s cancer research funding
Over the past two decades national survival rates have increased from 50 per cent to 70 per cent. Although this is a huge step forward the risk of disability remains high for many children and for some, the risks of survival remain low. So could you play your part today, could you support a day of research?
You can download a copy of the CBTRC brochure, or if you’re fundraising and would like copies to hand out to donors, feel free to contact us.
Whilst we would encourage our supporters to use the online giving facility, if you require a paper copy of our Sponsorship Form, please click here.
